As part of AG3: Ensuring Universal Access to Energy, GeCCo and ACCESS Coalition is calling for Universal Access to Energy to be recognised as the supply which can be met by demand through eCooking -and prioritised in COP30 commitments. Scaling electric cooking is a key enabler of inclusive, clean energy access.
As organisations dedicated to accelerating the uptake of electric cooking, we see firsthand how cooking with electricity advances Universal energy access across multiple dimensions.

Electric cooking offers an effective, multi-dimensional value proposition—from increasing profitability for energy providers and investors, to improving health, saving time, and reducing costs for end users. It strengthens utility performance, supports government goals for clean energy access, and contributes meaningfully to climate mitigation. In short, it’s a win for end users, a win for utilities, a win for governments, and a win for climate action—a true win-win-win-win solution that delivers across economic, social, and environmental fronts.
