Patricia Mbogo
Executive Director
Patricia Mbogo is an International Development Specialist currently leading global policy and advocacy work on energy access and just energy transition initiatives targeting, electrification, clean cooking and decentralised renewable energy. As the Executive Director she provides strategic and operational leadership, driving policy and advocacy work to influence Multilateral Development Banks’ to increase investment in energy access, strengthening evidence for an enabling environment for accelerated implementation on SDG 7 and strengthening the civic space for inclusive multi stakeholder engagement.
Patricia has been resourceful in high level stakeholder engagement towards shaping policy reforms, regulatory frameworks, and impact tracking in developing countries. She previously held the role of Program Manager, East Africa for the Clean Cooking Alliance under UN Foundation. She has also worked as a Senior Regional Project Manager East Africa, with Renewable World East Africa and has also served in other capacities with reputable organizations in Kenya.
She holds a Master’s degree in Project Planning Management and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nairobi. Patricia is a devoted leader and mentor, and believes in building and strengthening partnerships for a greater cause.

Wentland Muhatiah
Senior Advocacy and Policy Research Officer
Wentland is a seasoned Climate Change Expert with over seven years of progressive experience in sustainable development across Sub-Saharan Africa. His work focuses on designing and implementing high-impact programs that build resilience at the community level, promote energy access, and unlock opportunities through innovation, policy engagement, and inclusive development. He brings technical expertise in climate finance, carbon credits, resettlement action plans, gender, youth, and social inclusion (GYSI), as well as monitoring and evaluation frameworks tailored for both emergency and long-term development contexts. He holds an MSc in Climate Change and Adaptation and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management.
A passionate advocate for youth empowerment, gender equity, and clean energy access, Wentland aligns his work closely with global goals such as SDG 7 – Affordable and Clean Energy, SDG 13 – Climate Action, and SDG 2 – Zero Hunger. He believes that equitable access to energy, technology, education, and financial resources is key to building resilient societies.
Wentland’s experience is poised to advance the ACCESS Coalition’s efforts around advocacy and policy research to accelerate the achievement of SDG 7 in Africa.

Stephine Ogutu
Communications and Membership Engagement Manager
Stephine has decade-long experience in development communication, research, partnerships and public policy. Over the years, he has led strategic communication efforts for various development programs funded by institutions like USAID, PEPFAR, USDA, Bill & Melinda Gates, Hilton Foundation and Hewlett Foundation in Sub-Saharan Africa. He has worked for organizations like the African Development Bank, Palladium Group, Global Communities among others. Some of the previous programs supported by Steve cut across areas like climate change, energy access, women and youth development; financial inclusion; entrepreneurship; agriculture; public health; policy advocacy; governance and accountability; peace building and countering violent extremism.
Steve holds an MA in Development Communications from the University of Nairobi. Steve expertise will be invaluable in ACCESS strategic communications and membership engagement.

Donvin Oguda
Finance and Administration Officer
Donvin Oguda is a seasoned finance and systems professional with over a decade of experience spanning the donor sector, public service, and private industry. Donvin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and Accounting and is currently pursuing Masters in Business Management.
Donvin is also a Certified Public Accountant (ICPAK) and a member of ISACA. Donvin brings a solid blend of financial expertise, systems implementation knowledge, and leadership acumen to his new role at ACCESS Coalition.
In his previous roles—including as Finance Manager at Toastmasters International District 114 and Accountant for the Danida-funded MTAP program—Donvin has consistently demonstrated excellence in budgeting, financial reporting, grant management, and compliance. His proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Dynamics ERP, Power BI, and SharePoint equips him to streamline financial processes, ensure accountability, and support robust decision-making frameworks.
His experience includes designing and enforcing localized financial policies, leading audits, preparing donor financial reports, managing payroll, and mentoring non-finance teams for compliance. He has also led critical ERP implementations at institutions like KeRRA, RBA, and UN DT SACCO, showing strength in project management, quality assurance, and business analysis.
With a hands-on approach to problem-solving and a proven ability to align financial operations with strategic goals, Donvin is poised to enhance ACCESS Coalition’s finance, grant, and administrative systems. His leadership roles within Toastmasters have also refined his capacity to inspire teams, communicate effectively, and drive performance across diverse regional contexts.
