Bio

Marlistya Citraningrum is a Senior Analyst and Program Manager for Sustainable Energy Access at the Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR). She works at the intersection of energy access, solar policy, and public engagement, turning energy transition goals into locally grounded programs and partnerships. At IESR, she leads initiatives on solar deployment, subnational transition planning, and cross-sector collaboration with local governments, civil society, and regional actors across Southeast Asia.

Holding a PhD in chemical engineering with a specialization in environmental management, she brings together research, policy design, and storytelling through op-eds, infographics, and public forums; to make energy and climate issues both relatable and rigorous. She believes that a just energy transition requires both infrastructure and imagination, and strives to bridge the two in her work.
